Accessibility Statement

The Waterfront is committed to making its website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. This statement applies to thewaterfrontvenice.com.

Conformance status

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the technical standard most U.S. ADA web-accessibility guidance points to. The site is substantially conformant with that standard, with the exceptions noted under Known limitations below.

What is in place

  • Clear heading structure and page landmarks for screen-reader navigation
  • A skip-to-content link
  • Text and interface colors that meet AA contrast levels
  • Keyboard access to menus, links, and interactive elements
  • Labels on form fields and descriptive text on meaningful images
  • A declared page language

In progress

  • Continuing to add descriptive alternative text to all images
  • Reviewing new content and pages for accessibility as they are added

Known limitations

Some features are provided by outside services and may not fully meet the standard yet. These include the reservation widget (OpenTable), the online ordering link (Toast), and event scheduling (SpeakeasyGo). We choose accessible vendors where we can and will keep working with these providers as their tools improve.
